FAQs
Where is the best place to go?
There are plenty of options and we would be more than happy to recommend a route. You can also check our routes page for local .gpx navigation files.
How long should I hire for?
We recommend allowing more than enough time, nobody likes being in a rush and it can be nice to stop for a coffee or something to eat along the way.
Is there anywhere to stop on the way?
There are plenty of places to stop in the area. Just ask before you set off and we will recommend a few places. We also have a great cafe above us for before or after your ride.
Have you got bikes for children?
We currently only have electric bikes that require the rider to be over 14 years old.
I’ve never ridden an E-bike before, is it easy? Do I need experience?
It is very similar to a regular bike, but much much easier on the hills! We will give you a quick demo on how to use the on-bike computer.
How long will the battery last?
It really depends on which power level you use but as a guide, we can get around 60km out of a full battery if using it economically on the road. If using on high power on off-road terrain then this can potentially be 30km. You can constantly monitor your battery level and get a good feel for how much battery you are using.
Do I need a helmet?
We require you to ride with a helmet yes. We will provide one for you if you don’t bring one of your own.
How fit to I need to be?
To hire an electric bike you need to be capable of riding a regular bicycle. However, going up hills will be much easier.
What if the bike gets damaged?
We will require you to replace whatever becomes damaged. We don’t take a deposit.
