Proof of identification must be provided upon collection of your cycling equipment. (e.g. driving licence, passport.)
A damage deposit is required when hiring equipment and will take the form of an open credit card voucher, which will be destroyed upon return of the equipment in a satisfactory condition. The Renter acknowledges and agrees that the Bicycle and/or equipment is in good condition in all respects and undertakes not to misuse it and returns it with all accessories in the same condition as when received (ordinary wear and tear excepted) to the place and on due date and time specified on the hire forms as signed by the Renter. By signing this agreement the hirer agrees to make best efforts to make payment to Snowdonia Bikes and consents to Snowdonia Bikes charging any loses or damages to the hirer’s credit or debit card.
The period of the hire commences at the time of collection and is deemed to continue until the Bicycle is received by the Owner as aforesaid.
The Owner shall not be liable for any damage caused or loss made whatsoever by breakdown or other defects in the Bicycle or other circumstances beyond the Owners control. The Renter shall indemnify the Owner in respect of all costs, claims, expenses, and demands which it may suffer or incur and which arise directly or indirectly out of the use of the Bicycle during the period of hire. The Owner reserves the right to use the Renters deposit in part or in full settlement of any such claim.
Electric bikes must not be submerged in water. Cycling in the rain is fine but deep puddles must be avoided.

You understand and accept that Snowdonia Bikes strongly advises the wearing of cycle helmets at all times during the hire and provides a helmet, free of charge, with each cycle hired.
All young persons (age 17 or younger) MUST wear a cycle helmet and they will not be issued a bicycle without one. Young persons (age 17 or younger) will only be issued with equipment when accompanied by a parent or guardian. All electric cycle users must be a minimum of 14 years old.
In the event of the Bicycle being lost or stolen the Owner reserves the right to call upon the Renter to indemnify the Owner the replacement value of the Bicycle. However, should the Bicycle subsequently be recovered in a useable condition, the Owner undertakes to refund the Renter’s Indemnity in full within fourteen days. 2 keys are provided, one for the lock and one for the battery (on electric bikes only). These keys must be removed from the battery whenever the bicycle is left unattended. The Renter accepts all responsibility for the care and use of these keys. A charge may be made for any keys not returned and for any vehicle pickup required arising from the loss of keys.
All equipment must be returned to the agreed collection point at the correct time as indicated on the booking form. No refunds or reductions will be given for any equipment that is returned early.
Cycling equipment will only be hired to customers who attend a pre-cycle hire briefing at the time of collection. If for any reason we believe a customer cannot competently ride a cycle we reserve the right not to issue them with any cycling equipment.
If the Renter shall commit any breach of the terms of this agreement the Owner shall be entitled, but without prejudice, to any other rights or remedies which it may have to terminate the hire of the Bicycle, and recover possession thereof without notice, and to make reasonable charge for such repossession. No rights of the Owner under the agreement will be waived except in writing by a duly authorised member of staff.
